Careless People: A Cautionary Tale of Power, Greed, and Lost Idealism
Sarah Wynn-Williams
finished 2026-04
I thought being in tech and reading tech news every day that i already knew half of the book. But i am
pleased to say that i am shocked afterwards.
Sarah tells her own story about believing in such a powerful tool and then see it all come apart. Empowered
me to use even less big tech and maybe was also the starter for this blog
How not be a boy
Robert Webb
finished 2026-03
This was a nice read. got me thinking about how i grew up and what was, or thought was, expected from my
young self while becoming a man.
There really is no expectation, just don't be an asshole and learn to communicate with your loved ones.
Sometimes the book drifts into too much detail but the last chapter sums it up so nicely that i understand
now why it was necessary.
A Physical Education: How I Escaped Diet Culture and Gained the Power of Lifting
Casey Johnston
finished 2026-02
Read this book while starting lifting with a barbell for the first time. I discovered that it can help
reading about stuff while trying something new.
Sometimes i dragged myself to a workout, but after reading a chapter i was motivated. Partly because Casey
assured me that i will feel better. Especially when i eat enough. That was the biggest factor in enabling
progress.
Eat to become stronger!
I don't calorie count and likely never will though. There is alot of calorie counting in this book..
